The lifeblood of any MLM business is leads. Hot, fresh leads are a necessity to success, but where do you get leads like that? You could buy them and hope for the best or you could generate them yourself. Lead generation is done in any of several ways. Here are a couple of ideas and how best to use them.

Article writing Reading an article on any subject carries a great deal of weight. If it appears in print, it must be true, right? This is what online marketers are counting on and why article directories have become so vital.

Article marketing has taken a turn for the better as a lead generation tool. The written word is extremely powerful and can generate some serious targeted traffic. Since the reader is interested in the topic of the article, the chance of a conversion is greater. When it comes to free traffic, this is the absolute best you can do.

A well written article can persuade readers to look at something further. This is the basis for article writing as a lead generation tool. An article can be written by you or you can hire a writer to do the job for you. The article should detail the benefits of your product or service and offer your link. Most, if not all, article directories have a resource box at the end of the article once it is published. This is where you direct the traffic to your site or landing page.

List builders These are a variation of lead capture pages crossed with a safe list mentality. It is a very simple concept:
